The much anticipated Google Nexus One made by HTC was launched just hours ago at an exclusive Android press event. The device showcases a 1Ghz processor made by Qualcomm, a 3.7-inch AMOLED screen, voice recognition and typing software, a 5 mega-pixel camera with LED flash, is 11.5 mm thick and weighs 130g with a multicolor trackball. Its also running Android 2.1 ( a neater version of Android 2 ), the first handset to do so.
The demo of the phone showcased the phones features, all seamlessly integrated into the phone and as Mario Caros put it, the phone is an example of whats possible with Android and close collaboration with third parties. Google services on the phone have a more intuitive layout and work smoothly on the handset and a few stolen features such as engraving on the back of the phone.
