Today I was introduced to the blog of Martin Fransman , where I found a series of profiles on ”web2″ sites and their founders, with Yahoo, Ebay, Google and Skype to name a few. The profiles cover the lives of the founders along with the formation and growth of their business, a good read for anyone looking to create the next big thing or expand their knowledge on how the Internet got to where it is today.
Martin Fransman is a professor at Edinburgh University who has worked with leading international and national firms in the areas of innovation, telecommunications, high-tech industry, and financial services. Some of the profiles above are a result of his work with these organisations. Currently, a good deal of his research is on entrepreneurship and innovation, telecommunications, including broadband and next-generation mobile communications, as well as on the financial services sector.
