Recent Tech

Busy times recently, so I thought a quick recap on what’s been happening in the tech world since my last post.

Sony PS3 Slim

PS3 SlimAs Sony always do, a slimmer version of their latest console, PS3 will be released this Septemebr, same toy, just less of it, 36% lighter, 32% smaller, more eco-friendly but specs remains the same with a matt finish and quieter operation. Can it bring Sony back to the forefront of gaming? I think the hefty price of £250 will have alot to do with that. Out this September.

e-pens Mobile Notes / Create

e-PensCreateFor all the journalists out there, this pen doesn’t just write, it saves and converts your handwriting or drawings to an editable computer format, and can store up to 50-70 pages of A4 handwritten text. It can also link up to your computer and act as a digital pen and mouse. One drawback is the receiver. To keep the size of the pen down, a separate receiver has to be used with the pen, placed before you start using the pen. I’m also certain that ink refills for this pen wont be easy to find. If you have one let us know, It would be interesting to see how good the handwriting recognition is and whether it actually serves as a decent back up for your notes. Available from Amazon.

LG Watch Phone

Does exactly what it says on the tin, £500 ( pay as you go exclusive to Orange ) so not cheap but the specs are there, touch screen, 3G, speaker, mp3/aac, videophone, voice activation all in a watch.

That’s all for now.
