Issuu: Digital Publishing is now a breeze.

Today, a friend introduced me to Issuu, an online digital publishing service which takes away the frustration of sharing or publishing your content online. Having had a browse and test run, I quickly began to realise that it is by far one of the best solutions I’ve come across, for bridging the gap between creating a publication, and getting it out there in an attractive, yet intuitive format.

It’s feature set is vast and boasts the following  ( Source ):

  • Upload your documents and we turn them into professional online publications.
  • Enjoy the best reading experience online (full-screen with crisp vector graphics).
  • Explore a living library with the web’s most interesting publications.
  • Post/embed your publications anywhere online (Facebook, MySpace, Blogger, etc.)
  • Get a high rank on Google and receive detailed statistics about your readers.
  • Create a custom viewer design and integrate your publications on your website.

As well as the distribution method, the back-end administration for the content you distribute via the service, is well laid out and again, straight forward to use. Within 10minutes you get the hang of the service and the possibilities available to you. The service is free with ads but you can upgrade to a pro account for $19/month, and with that you get a host of additional benefits as part of your subscription.

Take it for spin, especially if you’re looking for a way to publish content online, and let us know what you think.

hmm, nifty. Might have a look into that for doing PDF archiving of Nouse – probably better than the click-through thumbnails we have atm.
